Life on Anthropomundus

Prior to its visitation by humanity 9.9 x 105 AD, Anthropomundus had its own unique, alien biosphere that was already well on its way towards developing complex tissue organization before largely being displaced by human settlement and its introduction of Earthly marine flora and other organisms. Following the conquest Anthropomundus and its human garrison on 1.0 x 106 AD, the course of evolution on the planet fell into the prehensile tails of the victors as they modified its inhabitants, including―and especially―the humans resisting them, and molded the planet and its biosphere in their image. After making these changes and departing the Sol Anthropomundi system, they left mechanisms in hopes of preserving these changes for ages to come, including those arresting evolution to prevent biological deviance from their perfect creation. Three million years thereafter, these mechanisms broke down and evolution was allowed to resume naturally for the thity-two million years up to this point, leaving a world populated not least by the feral descendants of mankind in all of its forms, from the familiar-looking to the bizarre.

Below is a list of the major taxa on Anthropomundus known thus far.
